Qualifications include a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and a strong record of research accomplishments suitable for tenure-track/tenured appointment through our academic partner, the George Washington University School of Medicine. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and interactive and will be expected to maintain a vibrant independently funded research program. For candidates at the Associate Professor level, a demonstrated high level of research productivity and NIH RO1 or equivalent funding are required. Preferred areas of research focus include neural development and neurodevelopmental disorders, fetal and neonatal brain injury, and neurological pediatric diseases. Within these areas, expertise in advanced in vivo rodentbrain imaging and human-derived in vitro models (organoids/iPSCs) are of high interest. A generous package of support and laboratory space will be provided for successful candidates to allow his/her research and the center’s programs to thrive in a nurturing academic and clinical environment.
